Transmitter
|
|
The Transmitter is powered by a 9-volt battery, and is attached to the halter via leather pouch. Transmitters must be within approximately 500+ feet of Repeater. Clear line of sight between the mare and Repeater strengthens transmission range. Transmitter is activated when mare lies flat out in foaling position. There is a built in delay to prevent false alarms in the event the mare goes down and gets right back up again. The signal is sent to Repeater which in turn sends a signal to the pocket pager (up to a mile away). If using the telephone Auto Dialer accessory you may also be alerted via telephone. There is no limitation on the number of transmitters used per system.
